Sarah Gordon is a human being who has been spending most of her time in London since about 2007. Before that she lived in a little village in Northamptonshire, which was very pretty but quite boring (so she left).
She broadly identifies as ‘visual artist’ but has also been known to write, dress up and get on stage to do things. Her work is broadly centred around themes of narrative, mortality and the absurd or beautiful that can be found within the everyday.
She likes to make books. One of these – ‘Strip’ – was shortlisted for Best Comic of the Year at the 2015 British Comics Awards. She also draws a lot of monsters; her ongoing project, The Monster United Nations, has been spotlighted by WordPress twice, which is kind of great.
Smaller works, such as books or selected prints can be bought through her webshop. For unlisted items, commissions or general questions please contact Sarah directly (see the contact page for details).
